Wood
Saturday 5/16/26 at 6pm PST
Wood is the symbol of growth, vision, and becoming. It rises upward and outward, expressing the force that pushes seeds through soil and branches toward the light. In the body, Wood governs movement, flexibility, and our capacity to plan, decide, and take purposeful action.
In this talk we will explore how the Wood element shows up in forests, plants, and seasonal cycles, as well as in our muscles, tendons, and nervous system. Through embodied practices, we will work with direction, expansion, and healthy assertion. We will also reflect on cultural and symbolic images of trees and growth, and how aligning with Wood can support clarity, motivation, and change.
Fire
Sunday 6/14/26 at 6pm PST
Fire is the symbol of transformation, warmth, and connection. It gives light, heat, and animation, and it is the element of joy, intimacy, and communication. In the body, Fire governs circulation, vitality, and the rhythm of the heart.
In this talk we will examine how the Fire element expresses itself in nature through sunlight, heat, and flame, and in our bodies through enthusiasm, passion, and emotional expression. Embodied exercises will invite awareness of warmth, rhythm, and connection. We will also explore the ritual and mythological uses of fire across cultures, and how tending our inner fire can support balanced energy and authentic relationship.
Earth
Tuesday 7/14/26 at 6pm
Earth is the symbol of nourishment, stability, and belonging. It is the ground that holds us, the soil that transforms decay into fertility, and the center from which all the other elements arise. In the body, Earth governs digestion, assimilation, and our sense of being supported.
In this talk we will explore how the Earth element appears in landscapes, agriculture, and cycles of nourishment, as well as in our digestive system and emotional life. Through embodied practices, we will work with grounding, settling, and receiving support. We will also reflect on Earth as a universal symbol of care and abundance, and how strengthening Earth can enhance resilience and inner steadiness.
Metal
Wednesday 8/12/26 at 6pm PST
Metal is the symbol of structure, refinement, and letting go. It gives form, boundaries, and clarity, and it governs the processes of separation and release. In the body, Metal is associated with breath, the lungs, skin, and the immune system.
In this talk we will explore how the Metal element manifests in minerals, air, and the changing seasons, and how it shapes our capacity for discernment and grief. Embodied practices will focus on breath, posture, and spaciousness. We will also examine the symbolic role of metal in ritual and tradition, and how cultivating healthy boundaries and conscious release supports renewal.
Water
Thursday 9/10/26 at 6pm
Water is a symbol of creation, consciousness, and birth. It is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. It covers most of the Earth in oceans, rivers, and lakes, and it makes up more than half of our bodies in the form of blood, lymph, and intercellular fluid.
In this talk we will discuss how the Water element manifests in nature and in our bodies. We will explore how water—found in streams and even from the faucet—has been used in therapies for detoxification, pain management, and relaxation. We will also look at the historical and mythological use of water as a symbol, and how these ancient meanings can be consciously incorporated into our lives today.
